My only gripe about DDNeon is that it severely lacks combos and pixel perfect hit boxes. I can see they decided to go with a humerous flair for Neon so it's acceptable that they went with a more light hearted approach. I still prefer DDII's story line however as it's the darkest one in the series. DD IV is only surpassed when compared to Double Dragon II The Revenge on NES which is still the consummate Double Dragon experience strictly because of the complete story line.ĭouble Dragon Neon is a really good remix of DD1 and 2 though.

Double Dragon IV on SNES.ĭD IV is still the best Double Dragon in the series in terms of character animation, combo freedom, gameplay and music. The best 'em up since Streets of Rage 2 was Super Double Dragon / Return of the Double Dragons A.K.A. This game was pretty cool to play with my bro, but yeah I wouldn't rank it higher than Streets of Rage 2. River City Ransom is one of my favorite brawlers too, I loved the remake on the GBA and I love all the crazy ♥♥♥♥ they're doing for Underground. Along with a bunch of the other games translated! Well, this is gonna be a long night. Well a quick google search got me a translation of Riki Kunio, not 100% but I think 98% is good enough. There was one I remember playing on emulator that was even better than RCR with more moves and crazy stuff going on. They really need to bring more Riki Kunio games out in English. I loved grabbing enemies in DD2 by the head/hair and kneeing them in the face or punching them on top of the head and stuff. Wish they would release Scott Pilgrim on PC.Īlso one of my all time favorite brawlers is Double Dragon 2 on NES which is somewhat tied with Battletoads and SoR2 and River City Ransom (thankfully RCR Underground got funded and will be coming to PC).
Scott Pilgrim Vs the World is slightly better in my opinion than DD:Neon. I love DD:Neon but it is not the best since Streets of Rage 2.
